Buying an apartment in Spain

Here you will find the apartments, penthouses, duplexes and ground-floor homes we are selling. Each listing shows the size, bedrooms, bathrooms and its icons (terrace, lift, parking, pool…), only when the listing says so.

With an apartment, also ask about the community fees and whether any extra charges are pending: we check it before you reserve.

Half of these properties cost €588,000 or less.

Frequently asked questions

What are community fees?

Every building in Spain has an owners’ community that shares the costs of the common areas (lift, pool, gardens…). The amount depends on the building: ask us about the one you like and we will check it.

Can I still buy property in Spain after Brexit?

Yes. UK citizens can buy property in Spain just as before. What changed is how long you can stay: without a visa, up to 90 days in any 180-day period. In some areas of interest for national defence, mainly on rural land, buyers from outside the EU may need an authorisation from the Spanish Ministry of Defence; the notary checks this before the signing.

What do I need to buy a house in Spain?

A Spanish tax identification number for foreigners (NIE). A Spanish bank account is also usual. The sale is signed before a Spanish notary and then registered at the Land Registry (Registro de la Propiedad).

What are the buying costs?

For resale homes, transfer tax (ITP), whose rate depends on the region; for new builds, VAT (IVA) and stamp duty (AJD). On top of that, notary and Land Registry fees and, if you use one, a gestoría.

Do I have to be in Spain to sign?

No. You can give a power of attorney to someone you trust so that they sign on your behalf.
