This very traditional 8 bedroom Andalusian Cortijo is set within a rural and quiet location, but easily accessible internationally, with high speed trains locally that will take you to Malaga within 25 mins, and Madrid in 2 hours. With a 15 minute drive into the municipality of Antequera, you will be living deep within "el corazon de Andalucia" (the heart of Andalusia). It is the perfect place for courses and clinics. Entrance is very easy with access from the road along a short lane lined with olive trees, into large double gates onto a beautiful traditional cobbled courtyard. The courtyard is large and provides ample parking. Leading off the courtyard is the "Sanctuary Garden" area where we have held Body Awareness sessions and meditation sessions for clients. The heart of the house is the kitchen. Large and light with beautiful beams, marble floor, traditional Andalusian tiled walls, log burner, and a separate walk in pantry with a wine store. This kitchen is set up by the current owners as a serious working catering kitchen with built-in deep fat fryer, electric hobs, gas burners, traditional style units with Moroccan fretwork, granite worktops, double sink and a breakfast bar. The kitchen has two doorways, one leading to the rear of the property which features a stunning "Moroccan hideaway" with numerous shrubs and topiary hedging. This idyllic garden has to be seen to be believed, it even has a cold plunge pool, with a dome, giving a real feel of a Moroccan Hammam spa. From the kitchen there is a room currently used as a snug and the dining room leads on from here. All the rooms in this Cortijo are extremely spacious and light, but feeling cool when the weather is particularly heated. All rooms have the original beams and a mix of quality natural slate, marble, traditional or terracotta flooring throughout. Also there are numerous retro style radiators.
